“Whimsical, beautiful, playful” were adjectives used by US-based interior designer JoAnna Baum’s client to describe what she wanted from her new powder room. Using this as her guiding vision, and with the client having already fallen in love and purchasing the Coralie Basin from London Basin Company, JoAnna had a clear starting point for the space, using the basin’s blue floral design as inspiration for the entire room.
Deep, rich blue flows throughout the powder room. JoAnna specified a custom vanity unit with a matching tile splashback in the same shade. “For the finishing touches, I used a Cole & Son wallpaper which I had been eyeing for ages; its blue tones play perfectly with the sink and really bring that whimsical energy in,” says JoAnna. “We paired it with Matilda Goad sconces and a vintage mahogany mirror to complete the look. The result feels cohesive, playful, and polished, and the client is absolutely thrilled with how it all came together.”
