Our Story

The London Basin Company was originally created by interior designer Anna and her daughter Natalie, where the pair hoped to breathe a new lease of life into luxury bathrooms with their distinctive basins. The mother-daughter duo were originally inspired by old porcelain, antique wallpaper and retro fabric archives, where these historic designs can now be traced throughout our current basin range.

Our goal is to transform ordinary bathrooms with unique, beautiful basins, where all of our handcrafted products have been exquisitely finished with delicate adornments and an uncompromising attention to detail. Each of our installations is designed to be the stand out piece in any room, which is why we take such care to manufacture these pieces to the highest standards.

Basins

Our basins are at the heart of what we do, where we’re proud of every one of our exquisite porcelain pieces. Each porcelain basin is hand thrown by our expert craftsmen, where it is then polished, trimmed and smoothed to perfection.

Depending on the basin’s final design, it may then be hand painted or engraved. Next, the basin will be fired at around 1300 degrees, often up to three times to improve its durability. The chemical process that takes place during firing helps to minimise porosity, making our porcelain basins incredibly strong and hardwearing.

The Madeline Basin – This white and blue basin is the epitome of feminine delicacy, with its traditional floral design and pure porcelain backdrop. One of our most popular pieces, the Madeline appeals to traditionalists without looking old fashioned, and is the perfect choice for a relaxing bathroom set up.

The Delphine Basin – Bring the awe-inspiring power of the natural world into your home with the Delphine, adorned with swirling cranes and flurries of white cherry blossom. Subtle red accents flatter a woad blue backdrop, for a perfect combination of colour and elegance.

Vanity Units & Mirrors

Our vanity units and mirrors are perfect for completely your luxury bathroom set, where these essentials help to make your space feel practical as well as aesthetically appealing. Many of our vanity units feature useful storage compartments, where these are included without compromising on the overall appearance of these exquisite pieces.

Like our basins, our vanity units are handcrafted in order to bring you the very best quality with every piece. Some of our units are hand-welded from durable steel, where they are then powder coated to protect against chipping, fading and corrosion. We also have wooden vanity units available, such as the Huxley Single Vanity Unit or the Ellis Undermount Vanity Unit.

We design all of our units to complement and enhance our basins, where they make for the perfect companion piece to complete your interior. Our vanity unit surfaces are also made from the most beautiful and high-quality materials, such as Bianco Assoluto white quartz stone and Nero Assoluto black granite.

These vanity units can also be paired with one of our stylish mirrors, where these also match well with our basins. A porcelain basin combined with a vanity unit and a mirror is all you need to set up a hand washing station that is both beautiful and practical for everyday use.

All our mirrors are handmade from steel in our workshop, where these are available in black, copper or gold so you can find the perfect match for your home. Like our vanity units, our mirrors are powder coated to reduce wear and tear, where they are also specially lined in order to prevent corrosion and rust when exposed to condensation.

Ellis Vanity Units – The Ellis vanity unit is available in two styles, offering both undermount and overmount options. They both feature a generous amount of storage, with sophisticated reeded panels with a distinctvie scalloped edge. The Ellis vanity units are available in any Farrow & Ball or Little Green paint colour, with your choice of either white quartz stone, black granite or white marble effect quartz as the surface.

For a timeless mirror option, you may choose:

The Otto Mirror – This round Otto mirror features a chic gold rim alongside decorative finishing studs, where this is designed to match your vanity unit whilst also providing a sophisticated backdrop for your basin. The mirror is both attractive and practical, so you can create a functional interior without compromising on luxury. 

Taps

Every basin needs a complementary set of taps to really bring it to life, which is why we provide an extensive range of exquisitely finished options for you to choose from. We offer both wall and deck-mounted styles, so you can choose the direction of water flow that best suits your requirements. Once installed, you can revel in the beauty of a decorative porcelain sink filled with water, where this adds a sense of magic and mystery to intricate basin designs.

As with all of our products, our taps are manufactured by our experience team with a careful eye on the details. Each piece goes through a rigorous design, production and testing process, where they are always inspected by our tap suppliers before being sold. We also have matching waste and bottle traps for all our taps to complete the look.
